Positive solutions for discrete fractional initial value problem
In this paper, the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions for a class of nonlinear initial value problem for a finite fractional difference equation obtained by constructing the upper and lower control functions of nonlinear term without any monotone requirement .The solutions of fractional difference equation are the size of tumor in model tumor growth described by the Gompertz f...
متن کاملAdaptive Smoothing Methods for Frequency-domain Identification
The determination of resolution parameter when estimating frequency functions of linear systems is a trade-off between bias and variance. Traditional approaches, like “window-closing” employ a global resolution parameter – the window width – that is tuned by ad hoc methods, usually visual inspection of the results. Here we explore more sophisticated estimation methods, based on local polynomial...
متن کاملExtremal Positive Solutions For The Distributed Order Fractional Hybrid Differential Equations
In this article, we prove the existence of extremal positive solution for the distributed order fractional hybrid differential equation$$int_{0}^{1}b(q)D^{q}[frac{x(t)}{f(t,x(t))}]dq=g(t,x(t)),$$using a fixed point theorem in the Banach algebras. This proof is given in two cases of the continuous and discontinuous function $g$, under the generalized Lipschitz and Caratheodory conditions.
متن کاملExistence of three positive solutions for nonsmooth functional involving the p-biharmonic operator
This paper is concerned with the study of the existence of positive solutions for a Navier boundaryvalue problem involving the p-biharmonic operator; the right hand side of problem is a nonsmoothfunctional with variable parameters. The existence of at least three positive solutions is establishedby using nonsmooth version of a three critical points theorem for discontinuous functions. Our resul...
متن کاملClosed-Form Solutions to Forward-Backward Smoothing
We propose a closed form Gaussian sum smoother and, more importantly, closed form smoothing solutions for increasingly complex problems arising from practice, including tracking in clutter, joint detection and tracking (in clutter), and multiple target tracking (in clutter) via the Probability Hypothesis Density. The solutions are based on the corresponding forward-backward smoothing recursions...
